Society for Hemophilia Care (SHC) and AIIMS, New Delhi recently organised the SHC India-AIIMS Hemophilia Conference.

organised
the
SHC
India-AIIMS
Hemophilia
Conference.
Eminent
national
faculty
and
medical
experts
from
the
country
shared
their
experiences
and
addressed
the
challenges
through
state-of-the-art
lectures,
symposia,
panel
discussions
and
case
studies
and
question
and
answer
sessions.
More
than
350
delegates
from
across
the
country
attended
this
conference.
Laboratory
workshop
on
hemophilia
diagnosis
was
an
important
part
of
the
programme,
in
which
26
doctors
received
training.
“SHC
India
is
focused
to
strengthening
the
cause
of
persons
with
hemophilia
in
the
country
and
will
not
allow
any
commercialisation
of
the
cause,”
said
Vijay
Kaul,
Executive
Director,
SHC
India.
During
the
event,
SHC
India
instituted
the
Frank
Schnabel
Hemophilia
Awards,
to
be
bestowed
annually
upon
those
who
have
been
working
for
the
cause
of
hemophilia
and
rendering
their
exemplary
services
to
the
people
in
need.
This
year’s
recipients
include

(Prof.)
Alok
Srivastava,
Head,
Department
of
Hematology,
CMC
Vellore,
Dr.
Maman
Chandy,
Professor,
Department
of
Hematology,
