Cardiology
All Yashoda hospitals have comprehensive cardiac department managed by exclusive team of full time cardiologists round the clock. All units have digital flat panel cath-labs and critical care units managed by intensivists and diagnostic facilities. The group has well-equipped ICU-on-Wheels ambulances deputed at all units of Yashoda hospitals. In fact, they are India’s first group to acquire a dual source CT with heart pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty.
Oncology
Yashoda claims to have the largest team of full time radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and surgical oncologists rendering their services 24x7. They have one of the most advance histopathology lab with most sophisticated diagnostic equipment and their claim to fame includes the first IMRT Linear Accelerator in AP.
Orthopaedics
Yashoda group was the first in the state to be equipped with computerised navigation system for joint replacement. They have Class 100 OTs and full time team of orthopaedics. The group also has a first-of-its-kind post-operative rehab programme for orthopaedic patients.
Neurology
The group claims to have one of the most advanced neuro surgery/neurosciences unit. They run neuro rehab programmes along with a stroke clinic, which is believed to be the first in the region.
Emergency, trauma and mobile screening
The Emergency and Trauma wing of Yashoda Hospital is open round the clock to meet any situation with fully equipped minor OT. The hospital accepts medico legal cases (MLC) at their causality wing and treats them in the acute care units.
All the ambulances have wireless communication systems through which the hospital is intimated prior to the patient arrival. The ambulances are also equipped with GIS tracking system, which enables the base station from the hospital to direct the ambulance available nearest to the caller.
Yet another initiative from Yashoda is their mobile screening unit. The Mobile Cancer & Cardiac Screening Unit was started on October 12, 2006 for early detection of cancer and cardiac diseases at the district headquarters, villages and mandals across AP. The unit is an initiative of the Yashoda Charitable Trust, which costed around Rs. 6 crore for the first six months, including the operational expenditure. After the first year, the running and maintenance cost had come down to Rs. 4 crore per year.
In line with Yashoda Hospitals’ comittment to use the latest technology available in dignosing and treating the patients, they keep accquiring the latest technology.
Intensive Care Unit
The hospital is provided with various intensive care units with latest state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure to meet the critical and emergency situations of the patient. Each ICU bed is equipped with a pendant supplying oxygen, suction and compressed air to patients. Dedicated and experienced intensivists/doctors and nursing staff are present 24 hours a day. Each hospital of Yashoda is equipped with Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, Acute Medical Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Medical Intensive Care Unit.
Laboratory
The team of pathologists, microbiologists and biochemists having a varied experience nationally as well as internationally. The laboratory is a conglomeration of four departments of clinical pathology and histo pathology, microbiology and serology, routine biochemistry and special biochemistry and cytology and hematology. Some of the high-end equipment used in the laboratory are automated cell counter, automated random, auto analyser, acme analyser, ionic selective electrolyte analyser, blood gas analyser, immunofloresence and olympus microscope with digital camera.
Blood banks
Yashoda has a 24-hour full-fledged blood bank that screens and stocks blood for emergencies. The department collects blood only from voluntary and replacement (relative
