the technologist the ability to confirm image quality before the patient leaves the examination room.

Benefits
With this equipment, the magnification, orientation, brightness and contrast of the mammogram image may also be altered after the exam is completed to help the radiologist see certain areas of the breast more clearly. The average examination time can be reduced to 10 to 15 minutes compared to 30 or more minutes for the traditional film-based mammograms. This digital mammography system provides the image on the computer monitor in less than a minute, after the exposure or data acquisition. Thus, this Senographe DS provides a shorter examination for the patient and may possibly allow mammography facilities to conduct more mammograms in a day.
Overall, this particular digital system is being appreciated for its overall design and user-friendliness. Further, as we take the opinion of the following professionals, it becomes clear why this equipment has gained so much popularity.

Senographe DS is totally value for money product. It is a bit expensive but the product is totally worth it because of its excellent features. I have been using it for the past six months and there has been no problem so far. The image quality and the overall image resolution are also very good. All the functions in this model have been separated and accessing them is relatively easier. The system is very easy to use and the processing of the images is not at all complicated. Its stability is also very good and overall design is brilliant. Another thing is that these types of mammography systems are very few in our country so the companies should concentrate
more on the sales of these equipments. Overall, products like Senographe DS will definitely stay in the long run.

It has been three-and-a-half years that I’m using this system. I am very satisfied with its performance. So far, it has not given any trouble and provides immediate and accurate results. It consumes very less time and is quite easy to handle. Though it is quite expensive, but because of its excellent features, it is totally a value for money product. It’s very easy to visualise the images immediately after the examination. The image quality and resolution is also very good and gives consistent results.

Dr. Tushar Vaishnav, HoD, Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, Kailash Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Goraj, Gujrat
Overall, this is a very good machine. I am using this product since a year. It can pick up tiny submillimeter sized calcifications called micro calcifications, which are the first subtle signs of malignancy and which are not seen by conventional mammography in denser breast and thus goes a big step in early detection, which in turn would improve prognosis, survival rates as well as the tenure. This is a superb screening tool but I would still like it to be cheaper so that more installations would be possible. It is a very stable system and so far we have not had any breakdowns. I would have liked the machine to have facility of a software product called ‘premium view’ even on monitor while doing the stereo. If given an opportunity to select between, then my decision would be biased on after sales service.

Dr. Tapti Sen, Chief Consultant and Surgeon, BP Poddar Hospital, Kolkata
The best feature of the Senographe DS is that it is very user friendly. For a country like India, which has very limited resources, such a device with such good quality and resolution is surely making a difference in
